Five musicians interpret some of Georges Méliès’ classics, as well as a few of his lesser known gems. Each artist has chosen the film(s) that appealed most to him from Méliès’ extensive body of work. Expect a heavy load of surrealist strangeness, startling illusions and extravagant special effects from the uncontested father of modern cinema. The composers, each coming from very distinctive backgrounds, will add their personal colors to the program.
