2019 07 22 • JACK Quartet commission
Happy to share that I have been selected by New York’s JACK Quartet as one of their inaugural JACK Studio artists, alongside Eduardo Aguilar (Mexico), inti figgis-vizueta (United States), Brittany J. Green (United States), Elliot Reed (United States), and Olivia Shortt (Canada).
Myself and the artists above were selected from 443 applications from 34 states across the USA and 44 countries around the world, and will each compose a new work for the leading contemporary classical string quartet, to premier in 2020. All artists will have the chance to workshop and record their new works with JACK Quartet, alongside an opportunity to work with a mentor of their choice for guidance and inspiration.
Needless to say I’m delighted to have been slected and cannot wait to get started as part of this fantastic opportunity to work with such great musicians.
